Jim Webster - Candidate for Winnebago County Board Chairman

WINNEBAGO COUNTY BOARD CHAIRMAN - Jim Webster Candidate

Long-time county board member Jim Webster (R-2) has announced to us his candidacy for Winnebago County Board chairman. The election takes place with the presidential election on Nov 3, 2020.

For those of you who don't know Jim, he represents the Rockton community, and has been a leader in the anti-asphalt fight since the beginning. In many ways he has gone beyond what would be expected of an elected representative.

Nominating petitions for the position are due by Dec 3, and Jim needs about 800 signatures! (435 gets him on the ballot, but it's important to have extras). He has asked Rockton Strong to help.

WE ARE ASKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO GATHER SIGNATURES FOR JIM! The leadership team will be helping with this effort as well.

Participating in this is very easy. We will supply the petition sheets - each one gets 10 signatures, and they can be ANY REGISTERED VOTER IN WINNEBAGO COUNTY. Here is how you can help:

If you're interested in getting signatures (it can be as few as 10, or as many as you want), just message us here or send us a private message - we will get you a sheet and instructions on how to do this (it's very simple).

If you're interested in signing a petition, you can message us here and we'll stop by and collect your signature. Just message us with an address and time, we'll do our best to get a petition to you.

Mr. Webster's candidacy could be a very good thing for the Rockton community, and we consider him our friend. He has been with us from the start.

Please keep in mind, this is not an endorsement - we're not there yet. We have a very fair and objective process for giving endorsements, and that process takes place in Oct 2020. But for now, we're supporting his efforts to at least get on the ballot.

We're happy to answer any questions you may have - and as always, thank you for your continued support!
